Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Education Specialist

**Job Type:** Contract, Full-Time hours

**Primary Industry:** Education and Training

**Salary:** £85 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:
  • Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, promoting inclusive learning environments.
  • Assist with classroom activities and learning exercises, ensuring students' needs are met.
  • Help students with personal care if required, maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans, fostering student progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths, demonstrating academic proficiency.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with learning difficulties or disabilities, showcasing expertise.
Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs, ensuring a strong foundation in teaching principles.

Experience:

Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting, highlighting adaptability and teamwork.Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles and needs, ensuring effective support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration with teachers and students.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students, creating a safe and respectful space.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher education qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs, demonstrating advanced knowledge.
  • Additional training in supporting students with specific learning difficulties, showcasing a commitment to professional development.
Working Conditions:
  • Working hours are typically during school hours, ensuring a regular and predictable schedule.
  • May involve assisting students with personal care needs, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Work is primarily conducted in a classroom setting, promoting a structured and focused environment.
  • Regular collaboration with teachers and other support staff, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
