Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tempest Resourcing. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with severe and complex learning difficulties, autism, and physical and sensory challenges.

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, facilitating their learning and development, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to deliver high-quality educational programs and support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including those with autism, physical disabilities, and sensory challenges
  • Assist teachers in delivering educational programs, including lesson planning, preparation, and implementation
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care, mobility, and communication
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs and behavior support plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
