Warehouse Operations Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Assistant Manager to join our team at Japan Centre Group.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Assistant Manager will be responsible for providing support to the Warehouse Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. This includes controlling Local Goods In operations, manual handling, and forklift operating. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising and assisting during receiving, picking, and replenishment tasks, as well as assisting in admin tasks such as checking, inputting, and amending data on the Stock Control system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all local goods in process, including manual handling and forklift operating.
  • Supervise and assist during receiving, picking, and replenishment tasks.
  • Assist in admin tasks, including checking, inputting, and amending data on the Stock Control system.
  • Assist in overseeing team's shifts and rotas.
  • Assist the logistics operation.
  • Manual handling: this job requires you to lift, bend, and stretch.

Requirements:

  • Japanese Language: reading, writing, speaking.
  • Previous relevant experience in supervising a team.
  • Previous experience in working in the food industry.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position.
  • Adequate skills in computer operations, such as Google Sheets and Google Docs.
  • Multitasking / time management skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Japanese products.
  • Forklift licence (We can provide training).

A 2.5 hour trial shift is required before employment is considered.
