Payroll Administrator Specialist

We are seeking an Experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team at Nottinghamshire County Council. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves administering payroll for various departments, schools and external clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll information. You will be responsible for actioning new starters, leavers and contractual variations on to the payroll system.

A key aspect of the job is producing contracts, maternity administration and responding to general pay queries. A good understanding of payroll calculations including Tax, National Insurance and Pension contributions would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

To succeed in this role you must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with good customer service skills and a positive approach to teamwork. Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills are essential, as well as knowledge of computerised/manual systems and business processes.

Earn an estimated salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, and enjoy benefits such as career development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
