As a Rewilding Projects Director, you will play a crucial role in leading our high-profile ecological and rewilding projects.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to join our team, who shares our passion for rewilding and has the necessary skills and qualifications to excel in this role. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a supportive culture that values work-life balance.

About the Role:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the coordination, resourcing, budgeting, and delivery of multiple ecological and rewilding projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical input and review for ecological quotations, reports, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and rewilding strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of client deliverables, including mitigation licence applications, ecological reports, management plans, and project bids.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor and support junior ecologists and interns, fostering their technical skills and ecological expertise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Ecosulis in meetings with clients, statutory bodies, and the public.
  • Risk Management: Report on project risks and delivery progress to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Field Work: Undertake site surveys and provide ecological guidance across the company.
  • Team Leadership: Lead weekly team meetings and ensure effective communication and progress tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Ecology or a related field (a higher degree is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in ecology or rewilding projects.
  • Professional Membership: Full membership of CIEEM; Chartered Environmentalist/Ecologist status is highly desirable.
