Job Description

The Pipeline Technical Director plays a crucial role in supporting users with 3rd party DCCs like Nuke and DaVinci Resolve, as well as proprietary Flawless products. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:
  • Providing user application support for 3rd party DCCs, such as Nuke and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Integrating DCC apps into the pipeline and developing tooling for ingest and delivery.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting application issues to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Maintaining and writing Python scripts for efficient workflow management.
  • Supporting media and asset management through the pipeline, utilizing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Ownership of support workflows, including facilitating solutions for recurring issues.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the film post-production pipeline, with a focus on editorial workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with Linux systems.
  • Awareness of security requirements when handling sensitive media.
  • Experience managing software lifecycle, releases to production, and version control.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
  • Competency in conversing about technical issues with creative users.
  • Familiarity with production/content management and versioning systems.
Desired:
  • Competency with web development frameworks.
  • Experience with common film image pipeline libraries.
  • Proficiency with DCC-specific APIs.
  • Understanding of the film color pipeline, including ACES workflows.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure.
