The RoleWe are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior Pipeline Technical Director to join our team in London. As a key member of our studio, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our projects and serving as the go-to person for our artists.
Key Responsibilities- Identify areas for improvement in our existing software pipeline and implement solutions to ensure stability on live projects.
- Work with artists and producers to understand workflow and software support needs, then design tools to support those requirements.
- Architect, develop, and maintain the integration of Shotgrid in our production pipeline using Python.
- Develop high-quality, stable code for use within Shotgrid.
- Create testable, efficient, and reusable code by using best-in-class software development practices.
- Create unit and functional tests with continuous improvement processes.
- Python programming and Nuke scripting experience, ideally in a VFX, animation, or creative technology environment.
- Experience in a VFX or post-production facility or similar environment.
- Working knowledge of 2D & 3D software applications, including Maya, Cinema4D, and After Effects.
- An understanding of video and image formats, resolutions, and standards.
- Experience with Python UI design using QT-based frameworks.
- Experience writing plugins and scripts in Adobe's ExtendScript is desirable.
- Strong debugging, development testing, and problem-solving abilities.
