About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Allen & York (Built and Natural Environment) Ltd. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our sustainability strategy, focusing on achieving net zero and other sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of Scope 1 and 2 targets and oversee the implementation of the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO14001.
  • Develop and implement a variety of initiatives and innovations to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
  • Oversee the implementation of closed loop systems and set KPIs to achieve targets.
  • Manage two direct line reports and provide guidance on environmental management and sustainability practices.
  • Liaise with peers in the industry and attend conferences and events to stay up-to-date with developments and innovations in the sector.
Requirements
  • Degree in an environmental discipline and experience in an Environmental Management and/or sustainability role.
  • Previous management experience and a passion for developing people and offering them opportunities.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to engage with teams internally and externally.
  • Experience working in the waste sector and knowledge of environmental legislation.

We offer a competitive salary and package, as well as the opportunity to develop the role and team further. Based in our Head Office just to the NW of Central London, you will be office-based from Monday to Friday, with occasional site visits required.
