We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to support our team. Our nursery provides a home-from-home setting for children aged 12 months to 5 years, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and education.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the nursery manager in leading the team and deputise in their absence.
  2. Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and provide inclusive play and learning opportunities.
  3. Ensure the health and safety standards are maintained and staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  4. Provide high standards of childcare and education, including monitoring and reviewing provision.
  5. Assist with curriculum planning, staffing levels, and behaviour management.
  6. Implement administrative procedures involved with registration and place allocation.
  7. Be responsible for a group of key children, including observations, assessment, and individual planning.
  8. Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions.
  9. Identify staff development and training needs.
  10. Be responsible for students on placement.
  11. Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment for children from differing cultures and stages of development.
  12. Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
  2. Proven post-qualification experience in working in early education and childcare, including line managing staff.
  3. Ability to manage resources and inspire the team to deliver results.
  4. Ability to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
