Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our breakfast and lunch services, providing exceptional guest service, and leading a team of associates to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the breakfast and lunch services, including managing inventory, scheduling, and staff deployment.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead and motivate a team of associates to deliver outstanding results, including coaching, counseling, and disciplining as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of product and service knowledge, ensuring that all associates are equipped to provide excellent service to guests.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and senior kitchen team to ensure that the food offering meets the highest standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous supervisory experience in a 5-star hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and promote team spirit.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent product and service knowledge, with the ability to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and early starts.
