Electrical Design Engineer

H9 Technical Recruitment is partnering with a leading client in the decentralized energy generation and multi-utility network distribution sectors. Due to the company's growth, they are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to strengthen their existing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to expected safety standards.
  2. Interpret electrical drawings, evaluate Factory Acceptance Testing, and hardware specifications.
  3. Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) to support procurement and assembly processes.
  4. Design, wire, test, and install electrical controls in adherence to national standards.
  5. Manage the installation and commissioning of industrial systems, including switchboards, containment systems, SWA cabling, inspection, and testing activities.
  6. Write comprehensive functional specifications and documentation for control systems.
Requirements
  1. Educated to HND/Degree level in Electrical Engineering.
  2. SMSTS or equivalent.
  3. CSCS/ECS Card.
  4. Demonstrable on-site engineering experience from within the building services industry.
  5. Strong design capabilities, including panel building and wiring.
  6. Knowledge of BMS/PLC's, including programming and commissioning.
