Dementia Support Specialist

We are seeking a Dementia Adviser to join our team at Alzheimer's Society, a leading charity working tirelessly to improve the lives of people affected by dementia. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.
The successful candidate will provide a person-centred and outcomes-focused information, advice, and support service to people affected by dementia, empowering them to identify their needs and access relevant services. They will work collaboratively with various professionals, including GPs, memory clinic staff, and other health and social care partners, to support individuals and their families.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, self-motivated, and able to travel within the service area. They will also have a good understanding of dementia and relevant legislation.
