About The Role

M Group Services Water Division is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our ONE MECIA team. As a key member of our Management team, you will report directly to the Commercial Director and be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Manage and maintain commercial relationships with key client accounts
  • Ensure commercial risks and opportunities are communicated and understood by all internal and external parties
  • Maintain commercial control of Direct Labour, Subcontractors, Plant, Material, Consumable and Administration costs
  • Project Valuation; cost control and cost management and the validation of progress data in order to ensure accurate reporting
  • Development of existing standards and processes identifying efficiencies and 'value add' at every opportunity
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • Preferably Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or other relevant business discipline
  • Non-degree holders should have a demonstrable record of success with extensive experience in similar roles
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications – High level knowledge of Excel
  • Accurate and timely provision of information
  • Demonstrate experience working under NEC Contracts and in particular Option A, C and E
  • Preferable use of online cost and value software (such as Oracle)
  • Experience of managing teams, implementing structure, training plans etc.
  • Driving Licence
