Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Kurdish language interpreters to join our team of freelance interpreters. As a freelance interpreter, you will have the flexibility to work on your own schedule and choose from a variety of assignments. Our clients include public and private sector organizations across the UK.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Kurdish, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

About the Role

As a freelance interpreter, you will be responsible for interpreting in various settings, including healthcare, government, and law enforcement. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide accurate and timely interpretations. You will also be required to check the understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence and ensure that they comprehend the information being communicated.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
  • Fluent in English and Kurdish
  • Aged 21 or over
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or Community Interpreting
