Support Professional for Complex Needs Students

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Support Professional to join our team at a SEMH School in Bedford. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of complex needs students.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position, operating Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 15:30. The successful candidate will provide classroom support on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, working closely with teachers and fellow workers to create a conducive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with complex behaviour or challenging needs, as well as professional experience in psychology, youth/community work, care work, family challenging behaviour, mentoring, or SEN experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Participate in outdoor activities and utilize school facilities, such as the swimming pool, to enhance student engagement and motivation.
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- Previous experience working with complex behaviour or challenging needs.
- Professional experience in psychology, youth/community work, care work, family challenging behaviour, mentoring, or SEN experience.
We offer competitive pay rates, including 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Successful candidates can expect a salary of approximately £28,500 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
