Job Overview
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Administrative Professional to join its Audiology Services team. This exciting opportunity allows candidates to progress their administration skills while undertaking a level 3 Business Administration qualification. Upon completion, the successful candidate will be eligible for a band 3 Higher Clerical Officer position within the Audiology Clerical Team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administration and secretarial support for the audiology service using various patient management computer systems.
  • Manage enquires from patients, Clinicians, Managers, and people from other organisations.
  • Accept referrals using e-booking and allocate patients to appropriate clinics.
  • Provision of clinical correspondence and reports.
  • Respond proactively to patient telephone enquiries and book appointments.

About the Role

This is a busy and demanding office environment, with high volumes of patient telephone enquiries. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office software.


Qualifications and Skills
  • Type at a speed of 40 wpm or higher.
  • GCSE level C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Ability to data input accurately.
  • Highly competent IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office software.
