Job Description

Job Title: Charge Nurse / Duty Senior Nurse

Job Summary:

The Campbell Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse / Duty Senior Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the nursing team and ensure a high standard of patient care
  • Work with staff to ensure the process of assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of care is of an excellent standard
  • Provide education and supervision to junior staff members and other professionals
  • Undertake the role of Duty Senior Nurse and have responsibility for liaising with internal and external agencies
  • Offer leadership, support, advice, and expertise to clinical teams, leading on clinical and managerial issues when staff teams are unable to do so
  • Report relevant information to Senior Management and lead on admission processes, ensuring effective patient care and patient flow
  • Work collaboratively with police officers to facilitate access to the HBPoS and organize Mental Health Assessments with Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) for individuals who have been detained

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent clinical and managerial skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external agencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide education and supervision to junior staff members and other professionals
