Our EMEA Energy team operates across several European offices, comprising over 25 experts specializing in the economics of the energy sector, including electricity, gas, emissions trading, and renewables. We primarily serve Europe and the Middle East, having worked on projects in more than 25 countries in the past year.

Our comprehensive expertise in the European energy market encompasses market design & regulatory issues, strategy development, and market modeling. We engage in various activities, such as civil and antitrust/competition proceedings, development of renewable energy, climate change, liberalization of the power and gas industries, investment decisions and due diligence, storage, electric vehicles, and smart grids.

Owing to the expansion of our Energy practice, we currently seek an experienced Senior Consultant with a number of years of professional experience in energy consulting.

This role involves working on both quantitative modeling and regulatory issues through projects throughout Europe. You can be based in any of our European offices (i.e., Paris, London, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Brussels, Madrid, and Helsinki) and will collaborate regularly with colleagues in other offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Economic analysis of energy regulation and markets, focusing on their impacts on clients
  • Quantitative analysis in Excel using our energy-specific models and platforms
  • Overseeing project day-to-day operations and client contact on all matters
  • Participating actively in client meetings and conference calls
  • Monitoring project progress
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff extensively
Required Experience and Skills:
  • 4-8 years of relevant professional experience in the energy sector, particularly in consulting
  • A Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Statistics
  • Fluency in French and English languages (both spoken and written)
  • Other European languages are desirable
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • Working knowledge of statistical packages (R, Stata) or programming languages (VBA, Python, etc.) is beneficial
  • A commitment to high-quality and accurate work
