Children's Permanency Planning Coordinator

Torbay Council is committed to providing high-quality care and support to cared for children. We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our team in implementing their permanency plans and ensuring the best possible outcomes for these vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with families, partners, and colleagues to assess risks, provide mediation and negotiation services, and advocate for the best interests of the child. They will also contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to child care and protection.
Requirements
- Good understanding of child development, attachment theory, and anti-discriminatory practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current legislation and guidance related to children, young people, and families.
- Advanced knowledge of social work theory and methods, including assessment frameworks and Child Care policies.
Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £42,440 - £45,718 per year, including a market supplement ranging from £929 to £1007. Additionally, you will receive good management support, opportunities for continued professional development through Torbay's Learning Academy, and access to subsidized parking.
