East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy and Discharge Service team. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Therapy Assistant Practitioners, to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for patients admitted through the Accident and Emergency department.

Main Duties
  • To manage a daily clinical caseload of patients and be responsible for assessments, formulations, and treatments, providing specialized therapy advice to the multidisciplinary team.
  • To deputise for the Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team.
  • To actively participate in training and support new graduate Occupational Therapists, student therapists, and therapy apprentices.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. They will possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and experience working in an acute inpatient setting.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, £43,141-£70,448 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Location

The role is based at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, and the surrounding area.
