Job Overview

Mothercare PLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying Assistant to join our Buying team in Apsley. As a key member of our team, you will support the Buyer and Assistant Buyer in identifying and delivering the product strategy for the Baby and Boys department, aligning with the company's and partners' strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely product delivery, collaborating with manufacturing partners to resolve any issues and smooth production.
  • Support the timely arrival and availability of products.
  • Accurately input information into the system and supporting documents to maintain accurate style information.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the department, including global sign-off and selling events.
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Collect and collate critical path management information.
  • Ensure a smooth product development process with total critical path adherence.
  • Provide administrative support, including meeting room booking, post and parcel distribution, and maintaining a tidy department.
  • Regularly benchmark to stay up-to-date with the competitive market.
