Lead Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI/ML RNA Therapeutics team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of machine learning models and algorithms to accelerate the discovery and development of novel RNA therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of machine learning engineers to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biology, chemistry, and software engineering, to integrate machine learning into our RNA therapeutics pipeline.
- Develop and maintain high-quality machine learning models and algorithms to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI, and apply this knowledge to improve our models and algorithms.
- Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in deep learning and neural networks.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering complex projects on time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, including Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working with large-scale machine learning systems in a production setting.
- Knowledge of molecular biology, disease biology, and/or biochemistry.
- Peer-reviewed publications in major AI conferences.
