Job Title: Machine Learning Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineering Lead to join our AI/ML RNA Therapeutics team at GSK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of machine learning models and algorithms to accelerate the discovery and development of novel RNA therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of machine learning engineers to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms for RNA biology and chemistry applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biology, chemistry, and software engineering, to integrate machine learning models into our RNA therapeutics pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python and other relevant programming languages.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI, and apply this knowledge to improve our RNA therapeutics pipeline.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise in machine learning and software engineering.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on RNA biology and chemistry applications.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms in a production environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, including code review, testing, and continuous integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with large-scale machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of molecular biology, disease biology, and/or biochemistry.
  • Peer-reviewed publications in top-tier AI conferences.
