Mental Health Support Worker for Older Adults

Job Overview
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our Community Mental Health Team, working with Older Adults in North Manchester. The successful candidate will provide support, advice, and practical assistance to service users under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing support and assistance to service users. This will involve travelling across the North Manchester area and seeing people in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance to service users under the direction and supervision of a qualified member of staff.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a care plan as agreed with the service user and/or their carers.
- Report back to the qualified member of staff with any concerns or safeguarding issues.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience demonstrated.
Desirable Criteria
- NVQ Level 3+.
- Community-based experience.
Knowledge and Skills

- Awareness of mental health issues.
Desirable Criteria
- Later Life experience.
Working as Part of a Team
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing support and assistance to service users. This will involve working closely with other staff members to deliver a care plan as agreed with the service user and/or their carers.
