**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an exceptional Community Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growth strategy, working closely with the CEO, Philanthropy Manager, and Communications Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver all elements of a successful growth strategy for the Community Foundation.
**Responsibilities:**
- Support the CEO, Philanthropy Manager, and Communications Manager in delivering the growth strategy
- Conduct prospect research and bid writing
- Manage event logistics and promotion, including delivery of stewardship plans and reporting to funders
- Create engaging content for newsletters, websites, and social media platforms
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including high-profile individuals, companies, and local authorities
**Requirements:**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and research skills, with experience in creating compelling fundraising copy
- Highly proficient in MS Office products and familiar with databases and software
- Solid experience using WordPress websites
- Knowledge of the voluntary and community sector, particularly in Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, and the Isle of Wight
- Ability to attend regular team days, some evening events, and travel around Hampshire/IOW as required
**What We Offer:**
- Competitive salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
