The Integrated Well-being Networks (IWN) programme is developing a whole system approach to well-being, working on a place-basis to bring together well-being services and assets and empower communities to improve well-being. As Community Involvement Officer for Integrated Well-being Networks you will be working in Newport. You will work closely alongside our IWN Development Lead and partners in the place-based Well-being Collaboratives, and will be responsible for ensuring communities are fully involved and empowered to grow their own solutions for good well-being. You will have a passion for working with people and empowering them to achieve their goals. You will be able to build strong, positive and long-lasting relationships that lead towards better well-being for all. You will be motivated, organised, proactive and a confident communicator. You will be comfortable working independently and alongside the team in order to achieve our programme objectives. You will need to be flexible to work at different locations within Newport. It is anticipated that there will be a mixture of home working with some office or community based working, dependent on programme needs and COVID-19 regulations. Hybrid of office and home working depending on business need

**Post holders will**:

- Work alongside communities to ensure people are fully involved in identifying local issues, devising solutions and building sustainable social action as part of Place Based Well-being Collaborative
- Contribute to developing local knowledge and skills on using assets-based approaches and support Place Based Well-being Collaborative to fully involve the community
- Engage communities in health and well-being activity and work in partnership with others that provide these opportunities
- Ensure well-being opportunities and information are identified and easy to find by communities and professionals
- Co-ordinate and expand the ‘Well-being Friends’ initiative
