Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom CV-Library Full time

As a seasoned Transport Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation systems. Your expertise in development planning will enable you to evaluate and advise on transport aspects of proposals, working closely with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders to ensure new projects are sustainable, compliant, and effectively integrated into the transport infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the transport impacts of new housing, commercial, and infrastructure developments, and formulating transport solutions that support urban growth. You will work closely with local authorities and developers to design and propose infrastructure improvements, such as road layouts, junctions, and public transport facilities, that accommodate increased demand from new developments.

A strong understanding of transport modelling tools (e.g., TRICS, PICADY, ARCADY, LINSIG) is essential for this position, as well as proficiency in GIS and mapping tools for spatial analysis. Your analytical skills will be utilized to assess traffic flow projections, capacity analysis, and mitigation strategies, while your communication skills will enable you to convey complex transport planning concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you have a passion for transport planning and a drive to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.
