Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
  • Contribute to the creation of project plans and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with project milestones and customer KPIs and SLAs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Excellent understanding of Windows Server environments, from Server 2008 to 2022, including OS builds, AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO
  • Strong Linux system administration skills, including Ubuntu and CentOS
  • Good general knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies, including load balancing and firewalls
  • Knowledge of Microsoft stack technologies, including SharePoint, Skype for Business/Teams, MS SQL, MS System Centre, Office365, SCCM & SCOM, Power BI, and MS Exchange
  • Knowledge of SAN storage technologies and 2 Factor-Authentication Technologies
  • Experience with scripting and producing high-quality technical documentation
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex incidents
  • Possess excellent communication skills and experience working with helpdesk-based ticketing systems
  • Hold ITIL3 or ITIL4 Foundation level certification or above
