Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Highways Maintenance, leading our efforts to deliver high-quality services and improve transport and connectivity across Cambridgeshire.

In this role, you will work closely with the Service Director to develop and implement policies, plans, and contracts that meet the highest standards and comply with relevant legislation and best practice.

The Place and Sustainability directorate has a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and collaboration, and we are looking for someone who shares these values and can bring their expertise to help us achieve our goals.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000-£85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of Highways Maintenance services, including carriageways, footways, cycleways, green infrastructure, drainage, and structures
  • Develop and implement policies, plans, and contracts that meet the highest standards and comply with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Provide technical advice and expertise at a senior level
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve organisational goals
