About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collections and House Officer to join our team at Kedleston Hall. As a Collections and House Officer, you will play a key role in providing inspiring visitor experiences and delivering high collections care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Collections and House Officer to ensure that preventive conservation plans are carried out to a high standard.
- Supervise a team of Collections Assistants to ensure that collections care standards are met.
- Manage the Collections and Conservation Volunteers to ensure that they are working effectively.
- Support with Hall operations and help to manage our House Visitor Experience volunteers to ensure that we are delivering a great visitor experience.
- Deliver engaging 'Conservation in Action' and contribute ideas for social media.
Requirements
- Someone who puts people first and knows what's needed to make sure everyone receives great service.
- Able to work as part of a team, with skills in day-to-day supervision and management.
- Good at talking to, and getting on with, all kinds of people.
- Able to ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Some knowledge of collections care and management.
