About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Mechanisms Researcher to join our Chromosome Segregation Laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of molecular mechanisms that underpin faithful chromosome segregation during cell division.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in molecular cell biology, biochemistry or biophysics, and a strong track record of writing papers as evidenced by publications or submitted manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. You will also have good knowledge of and experience in an area of chromosome biology, with technical expertise in protein purification and analysis.

You will lead your own projects, contribute to other projects on a collaborative basis, both within the laboratory, as well as with internal and external collaborators, and may guide undergraduate or PhD students in their research. Our team is outward-looking, reflecting our status as a partnership of six organisations aiming to pool knowledge, ideas and resources.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £43,210 per annum, with benefits subject to skills and experience.
