An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to work in a leading mental health service based in the London area.
This is one of the UK's premier treatment centres, providing fast access to high-quality care for various conditions, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress, and eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver occupational therapy services within our CAMHS wards, where clinically indicated, for patients with complex needs.
- Manage patient caseloads using evidence-based and patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Provide patients with skills and strategies necessary for independent living, promoting confidence and functional ability.
- Maintain and develop relationships with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clinical practice aligns with company policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
- Evidence of managing complex caseloads for individuals with severe mental health issues.
- Experience in audit and risk management.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals displaying challenging behaviour in a CAMHS setting.
- A passion for working with individuals with complex needs and mental health conditions.
- Strong communication skills for managing interactions with service users, carers, professionals, and external agencies.
- A deep understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
- The annual salary for this position is estimated to be between £35,392 and £42,618.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increased to up to 30 days dependant on length of service).
