Senior Cardiac Physiologist

London, Greater London, United Kingdom NHS Full time

The NHS is introducing community diagnostic centres (CDCs) to provide patients with diagnostic tests in their local communities, reducing the need for hospital visits. This initiative adds value to patient pathways by increasing diagnostic capacity and supporting outpatient and imaging transformation.

  • The targeted lung health check screening programme (TLHC)
  • The prostate screening programme
  • Expansion of the general ultrasound service
  • Expansion of CT capacity
  • Expansion of MRI capacity
  • Expansion of cardiac echo

We are seeking an experienced Senior Band 6 or Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist/Highly Specialized Echocardiographer/Cardiac Scientist to work in a busy Echocardiography Department at Mile End Hospital. The post holder will rotate to one other hospital site within the Trust network and participate in the weekend rota to deliver 7-day NHS services.

The successful candidate will work autonomously as a senior staff member within the non-invasive Cardiac Diagnostics department, assisting senior staff with managerial tasks. They will also supervise, train, guide, and support staff in the performance of their roles and provide support to senior staff members.
