Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, including boilers, steam systems, and medical gases.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of our facilities and services.
- Participate in on-call rota and be available to undertake overtime when required.
- HNC or HND in a relevant field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
- Time-served apprenticeship and completion of a structured training program.
- Good working knowledge of low-pressure hot water systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and building management systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Hospital engineering experience.
- Knowledge of relevant HTM's and Gas Safe/Oftec registration.
Desirable to have a good understanding of Welsh language and culture.
