About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our teams at Amazon UK Services Ltd. and drive operational excellence across our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Operational Planning: Create and implement operational plans to meet site targets and improve performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security to achieve business goals.
  • Initiative Development: Design and deliver initiatives to improve operational performance across sites.
A Day in the Life

As an Operations Manager, you will lead shifts at one of our operational sites and be the key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams.

You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching your team, providing leadership and support to help them achieve their best.

Requirements
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management, with advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  • Skills: Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions, and experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean and Six Sigma: Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Logistics Experience: Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  • MS Office Suite: Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
