About the Role

Meadowcroft - The Gallery is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering the school curriculum to pupils with special educational needs, ensuring their educational, social, and emotional development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake the normal responsibilities of a class teacher, including teaching and learning, assessment, and reporting.
  • Attend teacher meetings as required and contribute to the development of the school's policies and procedures.
  • Undertake duties delegated by the Senior Leadership Team, including supporting the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Play a significant role in establishing, maintaining, and developing a calm and safe learning environment that promotes the emotional wellbeing of each pupil.
  • Provide and promote the emotional wellbeing of each individual, reflecting the school's commitment to educating the 'whole pupil'.

Class Teacher Responsibilities

  • Carry out the duties of a general class teacher, including some provision for cover of absent teachers.
  • Be responsible for teaching across both key stages, ensuring continuity and progression in the pupils' learning.

Qualifications and Experience

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
