Job Title: Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader to join our team at People First. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the food manufacturing procurement environment and will drive revenue growth through the identification and development of new trade opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new third-party trade opportunities, adding to our sales accounts in existing and new geographies.
  • Identify new manufacturing sources for relevant materials, conduct physical premises audits, and incorporate them within our supplier portfolio.
  • Work closely with our office network to leverage opportunities and identify areas for additional resource allocation.
  • Play a significant role in new projects seeking to land viable commercially additions to our current portfolio.
  • Report and advise senior colleagues on trading opportunities and commit accurate intelligence to our Division's databases.
  • Participate in the Division's continuous education and risk management programs.
  • Frequent sourcing trips, sometimes in rural locations, processing centers, and export hubs, are a core responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Food technology background and a Food Science Degree.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing procurement environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent Spanish or Portuguese would be a bonus.
  • Availability for extensive business travel is essential.
