Raw Material Development Specialist

ROLE OVERVIEW

Burberry Limited is seeking a skilled Raw Material Development Assistant to support the Raw Material Manager in delivering the end-to-end Raw Material development process in footwear.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure accurate data entry and updating of Raw Material information in FlexPLM, maintaining data integrity throughout the collection.
  • Track and manage Raw Material orders on Excel and FlexPLM, following up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Request and upload Raw Material technical specifications from suppliers to various platforms.
  • Conduct regular stock checks of raw materials and their substitutions in the warehouse.
  • Archive raw material masters for leather substitutions used during sampling.
  • Organize and archive raw materials by typology, create colour cards and lists of available stock.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to ensure seamless information flow.
  • Monitor and report on budget for Raw Material development.
  • Manage and maintain swatches, colour cards, and Raw Material research.
  • Support the Design team with management of swatches, colour cards, and Raw Material research.
  • Update boards and collection books to reflect Raw Material developments.
  • Ensure alignment with other product categories in every development of the collection.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Some Raw Material experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively share information with the team.
  • Knowledge and passion for fashion and products in the relevant category.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at pace with flexibility, initiative, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in PLM, Excel, and InDesign.
  • Availability to travel frequently to Italy.
  • Knowledge of Italian Language is mandatory.
