Job Title: Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader - Food

We are seeking a skilled Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader to join our team at People First. As a key member of our supply chain, you will be responsible for sourcing and trading raw materials and ingredients for the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate new third-party trade opportunities and add to our sales accounts in existing and new geographies.
  • Identify new manufacturing sources for supply of relevant materials and conduct physical premises audits and compliance screening.
  • Work closely with our office network to leverage opportunities and identify areas for additional resource allocation.
  • Play a significant role in new projects seeking to land viable commercially additions to our current portfolio.
  • Report and advise senior colleagues on trading opportunities and acquire knowledge and expertise in traded products.
  • Commit accurate and relevant intelligence to our Division's databases and participate in continuous education and risk management programmes.
  • Frequent sourcing trips, sometimes in rural locations, processing centres, and export hubs are a core responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Food technology background and Food Science Degree.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing procurement environment and commercial sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent Spanish or Portuguese - would be a bonus.
  • Availability for extensive business travel - essential.
