About the Role

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Technical Project Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Front End Engineering & Technical Project Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Technical Project Manager in ensuring the technical aspects of the project are delivered on time, to budget, and to the required safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate technical deliverables and provide support throughout all stages of the construction project.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the offshore market and customer requirements, as well as offshore operational knowledge.
  • Build relationships with key technical stakeholders in customers' organizations and promote their requirements within Vestas.
  • Work closely with the Pre-installation Project Manager, Technical Site Specialist, Installation Manager, and Commissioning Manager to provide support on technical issues and ensure alignment throughout the value chain.
Requirements
  • Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, or related) combined with commercial insight/interest.
  • Experience in directing technical negotiations, ideally of heavy machinery, power plant equipment, or similar.
  • Previous experience in wind energy or industrial plant environment would be beneficial.
  • Strong project management skills would be beneficial.
  • Fluency in business English, both spoken and written, is required; additional Scandinavian or European languages would be an advantage.
  • Flexibility for travel.
