About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit services to our clients, ensuring their financial statements are accurate and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coach junior members of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Conduct substantive testing on key risk areas, ensuring that financial statements are accurate and reliable.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored audit services that meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and services.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification or overseas equivalent.
  • Proven experience in supervising and coaching junior staff, with a strong track record of developing and mentoring team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex audit issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
Desirable
  • Sector experience in industries relevant to BDO's client base.
  • Experience auditing international groups and coordinating cross-border engagements.
  • Knowledge of current economic and market trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge to improve audit services.
