Hand Therapy Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hand therapy team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with Specialist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to deliver a range of hand therapy and occupational therapy interventions.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the assessment, fitting, manufacture, and adjustment of splints, braces, and compression garments. You will also deliver exercise therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and patient education to support self-management.
Working with the Team
You will work autonomously within clearly defined parameters and competency framework, and will be required to work in various outpatient settings, including clinics, inpatients, and community settings. You will also be responsible for completing documentation for any interventions completed.
