Hand Therapy Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our hand therapy team as a Therapy Assistant. This is a part-time role, working hours with a working pattern negotiated but must be within Monday to Friday.
Main Responsibilities
The successful applicant will work alongside Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists within the rheumatology and hand therapy outpatient team. This role includes working within various outpatient settings in the hospital and in the community, using specialist skills to complete a range of therapeutic activities with a wide variety of clinical conditions.
Therapeutic interventions will include supporting in the assessment for and fitting / manufacture / adjustment of a variety of splints, braces, and compression garments. The role will involve the delivery of exercise therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and patient education to support self-management.
