Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Calibre Search. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with a focus on financial and contractual aspects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide advice on contractual matters to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and agree upon additional works and scope, ensuring timely completion and effective cost management.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, raising and responding to contractual notices, early warning notices, and other important correspondence.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and weekly site costs, to inform business decisions.
- Negotiate and agree upon interim applications and final accounts, ensuring fair compensation for services rendered.
- Provide commercial support to project teams, offering expertise on costs, contractual matters, and risk management.
- Work closely with project planners to develop and update contract programmes, ensuring efficient project delivery.
- Procure subcontractors and consultants, preparing necessary documents and agreements.
- Lead and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors, promoting best practices and professional development.
- Administer subcontractors and consultants from initial enquiry through to final account settlement, maintaining strong relationships and resolving disputes efficiently.
Key Requirements:
- At least ten years' experience in turnkey construction projects as a contractor.
- Demonstrated ability to work across diverse business cultures and environments.
- Proven skill in planning, managing, and coordinating subcontractors, designers, and consultants.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC 3 forms of Contract and relevant industry standards.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with planning software (P6 and MS Project).
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per year, reflecting their extensive experience and expertise.
