Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Calibre Search, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. This role involves travel to sites and subcontractor premises.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Risk analysis and advising on contractual matters.
  • Identifying, valuing, and agreeing additional works and scope within the project.
  • Raising and responding to contractual notices, early warning notices, and the like.
  • Cost control, cost management, and comparisons against budget and tender allowances.
  • Preparing financial reports, including monthly CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and weekly site costs.
  • Preparing, negotiating, and agreeing interim applications and final accounts.
  • Providing commercial support to the project team on costs, contractual matters, and risk.
  • Working with project planners to prepare and update contract programmes.
  • Procuring subcontractors/consultants and preparing Subcontract documents/Consultancy Orders.
  • Mentoring and leading site Quantity Surveyors and commercial administration resources.
  • General and commercial administration of Subcontractors/Consultants from enquiry stage through to final accounts.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of ten years post-qualification experience on turnkey projects as a contractor.
  • Ability to work with different business cultures.
  • An ability to plan, manage, and coordinate subcontractors, designers, and consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC 3 forms of Contract.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user, including Excel and Word.
  • An understanding of planning software (P6 and MS Project).

This role offers a salary range of £60,000 - £85,000 per annum.
