Job Overview

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join its Looked After Children's Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children and young people who are 'Looked After' or in need of support under a Child in Need basis.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and young people
  • Developing and implementing support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals
  • Providing guidance and advice to families and young people
  • Working closely with other teams, including fostering, health, and leaving care teams

The estimated salary for this role is between £37,035 and £41,511 per annum pro rata, plus relocation support. This is a permanent position offering full-time hours in a flexible work environment.
