At South Gloucestershire Council, our social workers play a vital role in supporting children and young people who have had a difficult start in life. As a social worker in our Children in Care service, you will work closely with families to help them achieve their ambitions and provide a safe, happy, and healthy environment for their children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete regular visits and assessments to ensure the well-being of children and young people in our care.
- Work collaboratively with children, young people, and families to identify and address their needs and goals.
- Develop and implement personalized plans to support children and young people in achieving their aspirations.
- Provide guidance and support to families to help them build on their strengths and resilience.
Requirements:
- Qualified social worker with relevant registration to practice.
- Good understanding of asset and strengths-based approaches to social work.
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions.
