About the Role

The Programme Lead for Newly Qualified Social Workers will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the ASYE programme, working closely with operational teams and Principal Social Workers to ensure the programme meets operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme to ensure newly qualified social workers receive support, feedback, advice, and development opportunities.
  • Set targets, monitor performance, and review potential changes to the programme to ensure successful delivery.
  • Negotiate and manage projects with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to meet business needs and nationally agreed service standards.
  • Provide training and information sessions to develop understanding of the area of expertise.
  • Ensure high-quality and consistent customer service by achieving agreed standards and adhering to Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification in social work.
  • Significant post-qualification experience with relevant expertise in social work and safeguarding.
  • Ability to coordinate projects and work programmes to meet identified outcomes and quality standards.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and ability to manage competing demands and pressures.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and advising skills.
  • Ability to moderate portfolio work and give constructive feedback.
  • Planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating workshops for NQSWs, Assessors, PDAs, and Managers.
