Acute Medicine Consultant NHS Position

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead the management of acute medical patients on our Acute Medical Unit, Same Day Emergency Care Unit, and Medical Take. As a Consultant in Acute Medicine, you will provide clinical leadership and direction to the multi-professional team, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead ward rounds and direct the management of patients
- Perform practical procedures and teach junior medical and other staff
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and participate in governance activities
- Liaise with other professionals within and outside the Trust as required
- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Higher academic qualification (e.g., MD, PhD) or equivalent
- Experience in acute medicine and ability to take responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision
- Participation in continuing professional development (CPD) scheme
