Acute Medicine Consultant Opportunity

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Medicine, you will provide clinical leadership and direction for the multi-professional team in the management of acute medical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead ward rounds and direct the management of patients on the Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Emergency Care Unit.
  • Perform practical procedures, teach junior medical staff, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Take part in governance activities, manage and administer the service, and liaise with other professionals within and outside the Trust.

Requirements
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Higher academic qualification, such as an MD or PhD.
  • Experience in acute medicine, with the ability to take responsibility for delivering services without direct supervision.
  • Participation in continuing professional development (CPD) schemes and evidence of academic profile.
